Silk . . .   by Prue Batten

2 1/2 x 1 3/4"
70 pages

Some days were meant for gazing at the damascened pattern of sunlight on the waters between the Prosphorion Harbour and Galata.

Some days were meant for stealing.

This day was the latter...

Silk, by Prue Batten, is a spin-off from her soon-to-published third and final historical fiction novel entitled Michael, from The Triptych Chronicle. Silk is set in twelfth century Constantinople and is rich with the beautiful and brutal patterns of Byzantine life.

The first two books of The Triptych Chronicle have been awarded gold medallions and have been shortlisted for the M.M. Bennetts Award for Historical Fiction and the Chanticleer Chaucer Awards.  In its intriguing narrative, Silk carries the same richness and detail for which Prue Batten is acclaimed.

This trade edition is bound in a gold and white mosaic-patterned paper with a dust jacket showing the stolen silk of the title.

Silk . .  is also available in a beautiful silk-bound deluxe edition here:
