Lace - Thirty Portraits

Photographs of antique lace,  used as the inspiration for thirty digitally altered  images.  Each lace fragment  retains its own design identity, which becomes the source of a synthesis of ancient craft and modern digital manipulation. The result is an artistic interpretation of the soul of the lace, its portrait.

Quarter-bound in varigated blue paper with an overlay of black antique lace, and a spine of black kid leather. There is a length of  silk satin ribbon separating the two, and a page of  Japanese lace paper tipped in opposite the title page.
