Gulliver's Maps - A Deluxe Binding
3 1/4" x 2 1/4", and the maps are 2 1/2" X 1 3/4"A portfolio containing four maps from Jonathan Swift's GULLIVER'S TRAVELS, half-bound in mottled cream and brown paper and brown kid leather. The portfolio is lined with 18th century prints, with a band that holds the maps. The whole is bound by a leather tie secured by a brass jewelry ornament.The portfolio has a paper label reading 'MAPS of Several Remote Nations of the WORLD, By Lemuel Gulliver, First a Surgeon, then a Captain of Several Ships'. Designed, illustrated and bound using traditional bookbinding techniques by Pat Sweet for the Bo Press.
