A sad Come-All-Ye ballad of the Old West, guaranteed to make grown men weep. Written (or, at least, copyrighted) by Francis Henry Maynard in 1876, the folk ballad had existed in various forms for many years before. A young, dying cowboy warns others to beware of meeting his fate.

Bound in brown leather patterned paper, with decorative endpapers, and illustrated with sepia-toned photographs from the period.
